The small print

Postage / Delivery

When placing your order we will discuss suitable delivery options with you. Options include Royal Mail standard post / recorded delivery / parcel post or a local reputable courier company. This will impact on the cost of delivery and the time taken for you to receive your cookies. For larger orders it is often cheaper and more suitable for fragile items to use the courier company. If the cookies are required for a specific date, please consider your choice of delivery methods to ensure that they arrive on time. If they are a gift being delivered to a business premises, ebake will accept the signature of a representative of that premises as proof of delivery to your chosen recipient.

ebake will always obtain proof of postage but cannot be responsible for late arrivals due to errors in the postal system, shipping delays on the part of couriers, or incorrect address information. We are not responsible for charges incurred for re-delivery attempts. Please ensure that a suitable person will be available to receive the cookies.

We do not deliver cakes other than to the local area (Mid-Sussex).

Payment methods

Payments may be made by cash, cheque, credit, debit card or Paypal. At the time of placing your order we request payment in full. In the case of cheques, credit and debit cards, orders will only be baked once the funds have cleared. ebake will take card details by phone and use Paypal to process your payments. (see cancellations policy below).

Cancellation / Refunds

Cancellations and a full refund will be offered when sufficient notice is given prior to baking commencing. To ensure freshness we do not bake until the last possible day so please give full consideration to any cancellations. Where substantial orders are placed requiring greater preparation and advance purchasing of specific ingredients for your order, a deduction for ingredients or materials may need to be made. We will always notify you if this situation arises.

In the unlikely event of ebake being unable to fulfill an order due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund and as much notice as possible. ebake will not pay compensation in the event of such a cancellation.

Breakages

ebake have taken great care to research and obtain the most appropriate packaging. All items are packed by hand and separated with bubble wrap or other packaging material. We do everything we can to ensure that your purchase arrives in perfect condition. However these items are cookies and as such are fragile. We regret that we cannot give a refund for broken cookies. If cookies are broken and are returned to us we will offer credit against future orders. (see postage options)

Personal information

ebake will not pass your personal information to any third parties. We may choose to contact you regarding new products and designs. All personal information will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act and are subject to physical and electronic safeguards. ebake will not retain card details once the transaction is complete.
